Creating different kinds of planets, especially habitable worlds has been one of my favorite past times. When the
wildly popular movie, Avatar, came out I was amused to have discovered the fact that several of my paintings,
some going all the way back to 1979 accurately reflected a number of scenes depicted in that film. I must
confess: I’ve always loved creating blue gas giants hovering majestically in the sky. I’ve also loved creating
habitable moons, or satellites that orbit around these blue giants. I think the combination would make for a pretty
site in the evening sky. So did the movie, Avatar.
